| John Muir Trail - Day 4. Backpack from Yosemite Valley up to the slopes of Moraine Dome. Took a lot of pictures along the route. What an amazing place!

| Moraine Dome, easy class 2, 8010'. Nice climbing up the granite slabs. From the summit, we saw Half Dome, Mt. Clark, and other peaks floating above the thick fog covering Little Yosemite Valley, and we reflected on our climbs of those peaks a couple of years ago. Then the sun shone deep red through the fog, illuminating Half Dome with a beautfiul soft red glow.
