Bristlecone Pine Forest. High point = 9500'
Ski to the Bristlecone Pine Forest, home of the oldest living beings on earth. A beautiful day with alternating sun and snow showers. Snow conditions varied depending on slope aspect and sun exposure, from breakable crust over sublimated sugar snow, bulletproof slabs, death cookies, and occasional pockets of perfect soft powder which made the challenging snow conditions all worthwhile. A priceless day.
