shoes: Salomon Racing Skate 9

35 degrees and rain. Lots of snow on the ground, but only the north meadow and Stewart to Calvary trails were unevenly packed (I wouldn't really call it "groomed"). Not enjoyable skating.

Note

Still feeling that tight hamstring when walking, but it doesn't seem to bother me when skiing or skating.

Ice Skating (RIT) 1:00:00 [3]
weight:141lbs

It's hard to believe I remember how to skate after so many years off. They are much less stable than inline skating or roller skiing. I wasn't jumping any blue lines yet, but managed to build up a little speed and even remembered how to do cross-over turns before I left.

I managed not to fall, but I dropped off the skates to get sharpened (have the rust removed from the blades) and I'm sure they'll be even more unstable next time I use them!

Note

ESG Splits

It's interesting to look at time lost to the winner on each leg.
