Wondering where to cycle today, I wandered out to car to get maps and bumped into the Odiham Cycle Club who were using our pub as a meeting point. So just asked them where would be a good 30-40mile ride... road to Alresford and back, lovely although we were feeling last nights exercise in our legs!!

Ah night-o fun. Went to the wrong 1st control then couldn't quite work out what was going on so took long way round to it. Sara beat me to number 1 which she was pleased about! Clean to 7 then struggled across the marshy hideousness towards 8, wasn't confident where I was and turned wrong way up towards 9 before realising where I was... gorse between 10 and 11 proved a bit of a challenge and 11 really confusingly had a flag with a different control number on it compared to the actual control station, thankfully I was 100% sure of where I was so couldn't have been anything else - Sara lost about 8 mins trying to find a control with the right number on it having seen the 88 from further away and thought "bugger"... hesitant on 13 and very hesitant on 14. Clean round to 18 then missed 19 and bounced back off 4... otherwise fine. ONly really annoyed wiht error on 1, 8 and 19, those were stupid mistakes, otherwise pretty happy with it all. And Sara is W40 champion which she is VERY embarrassed about..... :)

Felt OK running, especially on flat. A bit heavy legged but nothing too bad. Uphill was a bit of a struggle when steep.
