Running intervals (5x1km) 17:40 [4] 5.0 km (3:32 / km)
shoes: Saucony Endorphin Racer

No watch so had to log this quick while times were fresh. Quite sore still after the weekend but today was better. 3:34, 3:33, 3:32, 3:31, 3:30 (I kid you not!) 1 min rests. Plan was for 4 but I did 5 to inject some positivity into my training. Felt better as the session went on, could have done 7 fine. Interestingly I'm feeling some physical changes to my body right now, my weight has increased after JWOC but I don't think that is fat. Keeping it in mind as my frame is so small, any weight gain will be tough.

Running warm up/down 15:00 [1] 2.9 km (5:10 / km) +25m 4:58 / km
shoes: Saucony Type A6

Easy loop, pretty sore so trying to loosen up a bit. Worked a little bit I guess

Running race (Xterra Waharau - 2nd) 1:35:54 [4] 18.0 km (5:20 / km) +1006m 4:10 / km
shoes: Icebug Spirit 5 OLX

Gave this xterra another shot. Ran a suprisingly strong race considering my lack of hill training. Tactics were perfect, knew uphill would be my weakness so went nice and slow up the first ups and stayed consistent. Topped the hill in about 10-12th place, then let myself go on the big down and made about 7 places. Lost 2 places climbing a second time but made another 3 going down and nearly picked off a guy on the other course at the end. Very muddy day!

Note

I AM training (admittadly pretty low key) but just cbf posting everything right now. Hopefully in the next week I get it going again.

Running (to shoe science) 25:00 [1] 5.0 km (5:00 / km) +40m 4:48 / km
shoes: Saucony Type A6

Feeling stiff and un-road-fit. Grabbed some gels for the weekend, will be a tough race in my current state. Scouted out some barefoot shoes, may try the transition soon as my feet are getting strong and flexible.
