Strength/Conditioning 50:00 [2]

Speeding through, stepping up leg weight quite rapidly atm. Felt good today, biggest session in this block so far

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1] 4.0 km (5:00 / km) +20m 4:53 / km
shoes: Saucony Type A6

Ran halfway to the gym + warmdown

Wednesday Sep 13 #

Running warm up/down 20:00 [1] 4.0 km (5:00 / km) +50m 4:42 / km
shoes: Saucony Type A6

Running intervals (150s) 18:00 [3] 3.2 km (5:37 / km)
(sick) shoes: Saucony Endorphin Racer

Luckily everyone else is racing so joined in with 8*150m with jog in betweens. Consistent around 21-22, first one around 20. Coach said form was good today, lungs didn't agree on last one.

In other news, my coach has announced she is retiring! Kinda sad as she's helped me go from broken leg to where I'm at today. I've decided to stick on and see what the replacement coach, John Bowden is like. He has a pretty good rep (holding a world record is no small feat!) so could be the impetus I need to get to the next level. Will mean a change in training after Aussie, but that should help me to fit in more kms (track moving to tuesday means I won't have two hard sessions back to back mid week). Meeting him next thursday.

Orienteering race (Middle sim) 36:09 [4] **** 6.5 km (5:34 / km) +100m 5:10 / km

Ran red 3 as a middle sim. Made one real error where I lost concentration but knew I had lost it as it was going and reset pretty quick. Nice to have that level of control! Mpd though, think I waved my SI AIR too far from the control and missed the beep oh well.

Running warm up/down (extended wd) 40:00 [1] 7.0 km (5:43 / km) +60m 5:29 / km

Went for a longer warm down and explore out in the hills above whites line. Some magical looking low vis there, wonder if it has ever been mapped?

Running long (Riverhead, shortened) 1:40:00 [1] 17.5 km (5:43 / km) +400m 5:08 / km
shoes: Icebug Acceleritas4 (no3)

Shorter cos I'm gonna simulate a middle tomorrow at the club event. Nice, muddy and wet run in Riverhead
