Running 1:50:00 [3] 10.0 mi (11:00 / mi)
shoes: INOV8 250

Two loops of the oak hill trail. The weather was a little toasty but it was fun to get out this morning.

Running 1:25:00 [3] 10.0 mi (8:30 / mi)
shoes: Asics_green

Road recovery run with a few of my friends who are training for their first marathon. I picked up on the last half of their long run. Course had no major hills but a few long steady grades.

Running 3:56:30 [3] 22.0 mi (10:45 / mi)

Did the adventure loop. I was running on not a lot of sleep and no food but I still felt really good. I was able to take on calories during the run which has been an issue in the past, but by regimenting it and staying on top of my water and electrolytes I felt fine. I was careful to slow down during the ups. It has been a good week for training.

Mountain biking 1:00:00 [2]

An hour of mountain biking with Rick before his 24 MTB relay tomorrow.

Running tempo 1:20:56 [4] 9.25 mi (8:45 / mi)

Hill fartlek

I felt really strong for this one. The uphills were fast and smooth and I felt like I was just flying down hill. Had about 2000 feet of gain and loss in the entire run.

Running 1:00:00 [2] 6.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: INOV8 250

Recovery run around North Chagrin. I did this after my company picnic so I had a giant cheeseburger and two beers sloshing around. It didn't feel great, but it kept me slow.

10 up
60 @ marathon pace
5 down

It was ridiculously hot today. The tempo portion was a little quicker than marathon pace at a 6:35 average mile instead of 6:55. The problem being that I felt great until I didn't. I crashed at 8 miles into the tempo hard and my last mile I ran actual marathon pace. I'm fairly certain this was just a heat issue.
