Early in the morning setting out controls on the ridgeline in the crazy wind. Felt like getting blown away myself not to mention the controls that almost flew off into the valley below...

So today was supposed to be a quick tempo run around the lake because I'm tired but still want to blow off some steam. I was running with my eyes closed on this wide, straight trail where I literally always run with my eyes closed (I know this place well enough for that), but I must have been unnaturally tired/running sloppily today because next thing I know, I'm falling straight into the giant hedge of blackberry bushes next to the trail. Ow. Like... much ow. Got up and commenced running painfully, but the blood from all the scratches was all over my legs and hands, making it look much worse than it was, so I probably looked like a vampire that had been attacked by a mountain lion to the people I met. Either way, I'm glad no one saw me crash straight into the bush at 4:25 pace...
The lake lap went well though -> 11:06
