First ever park run.
Warmed up on the way to the start, and did 4 x strideouts 10 mins prior to the run.
17:44 for 3.08 miles. Didn't have a barcode so my time wasn't registered. Not really any competition, I guess most guys are at the XC. Cruised the first 2 laps then pushed on during the final lap when the discomfort started to kick in.
Good warm down after and did a few of the technical exercises to help loosten off.

Rest day today. Feels like I need one. Will likely be on my feet most of the day anyway. Will either do Nairn XC or a park run in Inverness tomorrow, will depend on family logistics.

Won't get the full 60 mins running before the exercises today as lunch break will only be 1 hour long. Will prioritise the exercises and do just 30 mins easy.

Easy run then the 3 x technical exercises circuit. Used the local football training pitches and set up a 50m lap. Feels nice to be exercising on grass ! Need to work on my Grape Vine. The jumping squats are awesomely hard work !!

Lunchtime run up Knocbain from work. Pushed it quite hard and realised towards the end when I timed one of the miles that it was 6 min mile pace on the flat (obviously a bit slower on the hill bit same perceived effort), prob too quick for a moderate run. Felt like a hardish session.

Also got a bollocking from my coach for not filling in the training diary very well.

Got the late train and walked back from Alness to the house. Only had a pint and a half so in a slightly better state than when I did this last at Christmas and was so pi$$ed the walk home took two and a half hours....

Easy run up the heights from work with 6 x hill sprints on the tar road just passed the wee hydro shed. Feeling good.

Probably the flattest run I've ever done. Along the Leeds Liverpool canal. Passed loads of cool houseboats and a peleton of guys on cyclocross bikes bombing along off-road and having fun.
