Easy run through the woods and over the gorge to the hydro station access road for 8 x hill sprints. Felt strong from the first to the last so very pleased :)

MTB Ride 2:30:00 [2]

Bike ride with Ailsa in the trailer. Rode from the Auction Mart (where I had just bought an awesome 12 foot long double axle trailer for the new business) out on the back roads to Knockfarrel and Loch Ussie. Then headed back through Dingwall and home on the back road. Ailsa woke up about 30 mins from home so I had to put the boot in a wee bit (fortunately had a tail wind) to get her home.

Got soaked in the rain too :)

Biked to work this morning on MTB. Kept up a reasonable effort on a couple of the wee hills but generally kept the effort pretty light. Finally, daylight in the mornings !!!!

Easy running warm up - 15 x 1 min 10km pace and 1 min moderate pace - walk jog warm down.

Great session, it's so much easier keeping going between efforts rather than slowing right down and having to get going again. Felt comfortable throughout. Very pleased.

Note

Training is a bit all to pot this week with different commitments ..... will likely run twice tomorrow to make the most of an opportunity in the morning to run to work easy and do the session on the way home.

That said it felt good to be on the bike today, a welcome change to running if only for a day.

And .... shock horror ..... we have tried giving up meat these last few days .... and so far have gone 4 days without ! This is the longest I've ever gone. Will keep it up until the end of the week at least and see how I feel.

Due to work today I ended up only being able to run home from work. This didn't suit doing the technical exercises so I just ran at a moderate pace. Feeling really, really good, just cruised along and before I knew it was at the front door. Very happy :)

Moderate run from home to Invergordon and back on the cycle path. Emily came too in the bike towing Ailsa. Went OK, was a bit tired towards the end. Legs felt numb and not great but soldiered on regardless !!
