Note

Resting after my feet were in pieces after the bog and ice and tussocks...

RUNNING warm up/down (Big Moor National) 21:00 [2] 2.2 km (9:33 / km) +125m 7:26 / km
shoes: X-Talon 212

ORIENTEERING race 1:57:00 [4] 14.56 km (8:02 / km) +385m 7:06 / km
shoes: X-Talon 212

Very long race. Not my favourite either with lots of tussocks! Still made a good effort although died around 19, just as everyone caught me up including Speakey, RRobinson, Oli, AndyP and the rest... never mind!

Made a hash of number 1 as didn't really make any sense, but got into the map ok. Then was slow over from 8-9-10 but managed to get a bit faster towards 15 until 16 sapped my energy once again.

Nice finish but my blisters on my feet started to kick in on the descent to the last controls.

Nice area, but a little too tough for me at the moment - need to get terrain fitness back - if it were all on tracks, i'd be fine!

RUNNING warm up/down 5:00 [2] 0.5 km (10:00 / km)

RUNNING warm up/down (Beely Middle Distance) 9:00 [3] 1.2 km (7:30 / km) +55m 6:06 / km
shoes: X-Talon 212

ORIENTEERING race (Beely Race) 38:47 [5] *** 5.85 km (6:38 / km) +260m 5:25 / km
shoes: X-Talon 212

Felt good at the start, but misjudged the scale slightly. Felt great on the downhill and found lots of routes through the low undergrowth.

Made a few silly errors with 20s here and there from not reading the map properly.

Got knackered on the hill to 17, and Rhys caught me up for the last 5 controls - still fast finish for the 1st orienteering race for a long while!
