run: track (1500 work) 45:52 [3] 10.56 km (4:21 / km)
slept:7.5

activation, 20min wu, active wu, 4x50 in flats
3x400 (90s rec) + 2x300 (60s rec)
9min walk/jog set rest
3x(400, 75s rec, 200, 90s rec)
15min cd

72.1, 72.1, 72.0, 54.6, 55.4
72.8, 36.2, 72.6, 36.1, 72.4, 35.3

this was pretty good. was mentally tough to have to run the whole w/o alone. LK the leech tagged along but i didn't feel like trying to get her to help leading and really didn't want to listen to her whine lol. it was kind of nice to do my own thing and run 36's. also took 2min rec before that last 400 because i was feeling woozy. this past week hasn't been hard training-wise for me but there was definitely some mental fatigue there, luckily it only showed in the last rep in the first set haha. but 55.4 is still technically a 36!

as for the foot, it really hasn't changed much. zero pain while walking/running today, and not any worse after the workout. still just that mysterious soreness to the touch.

run: long run 1:00:37 [1] 12.63 km (4:48 / km)
slept:4.5

activation, 24min run to paw, 30min on dread, 6min run home

this was pretty good. was tempted to go longer, it felt nice to run again. foot was 0/10 to walk/run on today. first metatarsal head still sore to massage but still 0/10 walking around in bare feet as of now.

cross training (bike) 45:00 [1] 4.5 km (10:00 / km)
slept:6.5

foot not completely healed but i don't feel it while walking at all. opted for 1 more day of cross training before running on it. actually felt like going long on the bike for once but my vageen was still sore from the 60min bike on friday

pool 45:00 [1] 4.5 km (10:00 / km)
slept:7.5

45min DWR
last day the west pool was open for the semester so i took advantage. my foot is slightly improved compared to yesterday. nothing crazy, it's taking its sweet time.

Friday Dec 9, 2016 #

cross training (bike) 1:00:00 [2] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)
slept:6.5

25min wu, 2x(2min, 1:30, 1min, :30, :30, rest equal to next rep), 3min set rest, cd to 60

opted to cross train today to be safe. that sore spot on the first metatarsal head is still not gone. it's only like a 0.5/10 to walk/run on but a high intensity session probably wouldn't have been a good idea. it's about as sore as it was yesterday when i go in and touch/massage it. i was just a mess this past week and a half so i'm really hoping this is just something acute that will go away soon.

pool 45:00 [1] 4.5 km (10:00 / km)
slept:7.0

45min DWR + some core

this wasn't too awful, convinced a pal to hop in the pool with me. the foot is feeling better today, less of that locked up/tight feeling but still sore on that one spot.

Wednesday Dec 7, 2016 #

run: rec 49:05 [1] 9.91 km (4:57 / km)
slept:7.5

run to van vliet to pick up NS, 20min run to saville, strength, core, 23min run home

strength same as last week. hang clean-split press was 25-25-30-30kg + 2kg extra on 1 side. i find it's way more difficult with the extra weight on the left side, i feel like teetering over. when it's on the right side i barely notice it.

this was a good session. waking up my left foot had the same soreness as last night, so i wanted to test it out. it was fine to run on, didn't seem to get aggravated at all. the whole foot just feels kind of locked up and tight. i also stubbed the shit out of that big toe on my shake out sunday evening, so maybe that started it and getting on the track aggravated it.. i dunno.

Note

went and saw amber after running. she did all sorts of stuff to my left foot/lower leg which was great. she thinks it's not likely a stress fracture.
