run: hills 1:02:06 [4] 12.81 km (4:51 / km)

activation, ~16min wu from LU to Italian hall, straight into ~10ish min of cruisy/steady PA hill circuit, ~6min of dynamic stuff
3x(3x300m@ 3k-ish effort, 100m jog rec), 2min rec (only 2 reps in last set)
3min set rest
3 x hard hills (up bay from secord to banning), jog down rec
16min cd back to the hangar

strength: 4x65-75-75-75lb hang clean to split press, then hopped into maxi's strength and did about half of her stuff

this was pretty decent. hangar was in use and apparently the outdoor track was still covered in snow (and inaccessible due to being strictly run by the city). steady hill circuit was nice, normally I despise port Arthur hills but this was a fun way to do them. 300's were on an approximately measured stretch of dry flat road. they felt pretty relaxed, averaged about 54, starting a bit slower and finishing a bit quicker. maxi crushed me on the last 3 hills, I just didn't feel super powerful or fast on those haha. didn't really want to do strength afterward but it's easier for me to access facilities on days i'm already at the hangar as opposed to on my off days. felt ok, was skipping strength during finals ahha so was just getting back into it.

run: rec 41:06 [1] 7.6 km (5:24 / km)

this was blah. finally made it back to tbay, but it was like I never left after Christmas haha. snow/ice/slush everywhere made for slow going no matter where I went. headed into the hospital trails, which was a nice change of scenery.

run: rec (treadmill) 30:00 [1] 5.84 km (5:08 / km)

this was blah. did this in the am on the hotel treadmill before my flight, which ended up getting canceled anyway! stuck in winni for 1 more night...

Wednesday Apr 26, 2017 #

run: rec 53:32 [1] 10.74 km (4:59 / km)

this was ok. flew out of yeg at 6am, but all flights to tbay were canceled due to an ice storm, so got stuck in Winnipeg. but my hotel was close to al and he was able to meet up so it was nice to have some company.

run: track 1:08:33 [3] 15.92 km (4:18 / km)

18min wu, dynamic wu, 4x50m in flats
all in flats:
5x400m @5k RE, 75s rec
20min tempo w/ 1min pickup q5min
5x400m @5k RE, 75s rec
16min cd

77.x, 81.3, 80.x, 79.7, 78.3 (led 4, 5)
80.6, 82.8, 80.5, 81.0, 83.1 (led 2, 5)

this was alright. more cold ass rain, just like every other frickin workout we've had the past couple weeks. was supposed to do some 1k effort stuff but that wouldn't have been good, so i hopped in with DK and ML instead haha. track stuff was decent, felt kind of bad my reps were the slowest haha. managed to work with those 2 for the whole tempo which was good!
