average run. stuffed 1 and 2 also made a dumb mistake from parallel error later in the course. legs still feeling great. 2nd behind sam by about a minute, easy dropped 8mins over the course.need to focus on haviing a plan in detail.

lots of small mistakes again. apart from big blow out on 3 that lost me 1.20min legs feeling pretty good. just couldnt get into the first few controls. little loop down 5 to 8 was good. shins feeling sweet but blisters are getting worse. knee a bit sore from yesterday

long distance at piopio
dumb mistakes from parallel error mainly of from taking bad bearings or too much simplyfying. legs feeling great especially up hills.

Friday Feb 2

rode from home up to kiwitahi road. then down to the forest went up and did powerball, charlies angels, afterglow, club, then road out to the gate and sh16 home. legs felt like crap. dont really know why, just couldnt get the legs going or the heartrate up.

Thursday Feb 1

legs felt like crap at the start. took quite a while to get going. got lucky and got in a little break with tom david. stayed out for a few laps but got caught again. legs got a bit better as the race progressed. There was a crash in the 2nd to last corner just to my right. Taylor and andy both went down, just missed taylors bike.

distance includes the crit. rode from work to glendowie then back to the tank farm for the crit. legs feeling average, especially into the wind back along the waterfront

Wednesday Jan 31

rode from home to work via riverhead, cycleway, meola and gladstone road. pretty relaxed ride, didnt push it. legs feeling tired from yesterday

did a quick run straight off the bike. legs felt pretty gud. no shin pain but was only cruising

rode home from work via new lynn henderson. legs feeling quite fatigued but got better towards the end.

Tuesday Jan 30

rode home from work and did a loop out to glendowie. legs feeling really good. rode into a headwind pretty much the whole way home. pushed it up triangle road and along the cycleway.
strength and conditioning 20:00 [3]
knees and shin exercises as well as hip flexors.

Monday Jan 29

Ran up the road to kerr taylors bush. slow cruisy run just to get the legs going. physio said to try some short runs. got a little bit of shin pain after about 5mins then it went away and came back again right at the end of the run

stretching as well as exercises for shins and knees
