Orienteering 55:00 [4] 6.5 km (8:28 / km)

Easter day 3 - second place M21AS

Legs really hurt with the cumulative fatigue (and blisters) of the past two days so today was mostly 'run' in survival mode taking the paths of least resistance.

Really good for the first two controls.
Pulled up a little short on number 3 expecting to be able to see the 'boulders' in the circle, but should have just used the contours. Took maybe 30 seconds.
Planned the longer number 6 on the descent towards 4 and headed straight for it before soon remembering number 5. Roughly 20 seconds.
Hesitated on number 8 and took longer than I ought to have to work it out. 30 seconds or so lost.
Could not be bothered fighting the vegetation on number 11 so went wide around on a track. This was just plain lazy and dumb. The straight option was quite runable and if anything had less thick scrub than the descent to the track. Possibly lost two minutes.
Again took a wide track option to number 12. This was again a bit pointless as I did not save on any climb and the navigational entry to the control area was easy to find either way. Got a bit complacent on the entry to the control itself and lost about 1-1.5 minutes looking for it, plus maybe another 2 or so from the unnecessarily wide route choice.

All in all a reasonably good run, free from major error. Erosion detail was good fun as were the more vague spur gully areas.
