GNC Day 2 Classic

Second race day, knee was definitely hurting more, but only really started bothering me towards the end of the course. Way more mistakes than yesterday, especially in the last few controls.

Small hesitations/standing in the control circles on: 2, 4, 9, 13, 17, and 19
Bad route choice to 3, approaching it from the left was slower, and more difficult due to vegetation which made me also miss the control on my first go around.
Started looking in the wrong re-entrant at 8 before I realized I still need to hop one over.
Around control 16 my knee started to become quite painful, which I guess threw me off enough to start making poor decisions. This was quite frustrating since my knee should have only slowed me down physically and the mistakes I started to make are pretty inexcusable.
Awful route choice to 17 where I climbed up a hill only to drop immediately.
Big blow up of the race was at 18. Decided I was too far right of the control when in actually I was too far left. Took me a while to realize I'm probably heading the wrong direction. Ouch.
Exited out of 18 the wrong way as well and had to go quite a ways around to 19. Also saw 19, did not think it was my control, kept running, and then came back when I realized yep, that was my control.

Biggest thing was my loss of focus at the end of the race. Whether I was in pain, or tired, or whatever, I need to keep my head on straight for the entire race.

GNC Day 1 Middle

First race of the weekend. I was pretty worried how my knee would hold up, but it looks like it healed enough where I could run a 30 min race hard. Felt good through all of it, and only had a few minor mistakes.

3. I felt like I curved left needlessly and could have shortened the distance by just climbing right away.
5. I got pushed a bit to far to the right towards the end of the leg but corrected when I noticed.
6. Lost some time hesitating and standing still right before the control because I was confused what feature it was on.
9. Compassed out too far to the right and had to correct a good amount.
10. The latter half of this leg I did quite slowly and was paying to much attention to reading everything when I should have just booked it since there so many catching features.

Overall really happy with this race and speed. Probably could have shaven off about a minute from my time but not much more than that.
