Orienteering race (Carroll's Spring) 53:00 [3]
(injured) shoes: VJ twisters

State league at Spargo Creek!!!!!!

I don't know if I'd pick this one for a state league (seems like that has occured twice this year)
was a nice forest though, felt really fast.
Rolled my ankle forwards (pointed toes) in the first 100m and smacked into a log. I thought I'd keep going as it would wear off. the ankle did, but the knee got tighter and tighter. I decided to check it at the fourth control, and it was bulging pretty basketballish, so I decided to rather go back than further injure myself!!!!

can't go to work for a few days.

Run 15:00 [3]
shoes: Mizuno flats

checked out a new run.
was AMAZING.

run around the goodside of Warburton.
Includes the 2nd steepest residential road in the world (according guiness book of records).
I didn't quite make it to the top.
It's about 200m with 200m climb!

Then along the river tracks for about 5km more.

I cut it short though because I didn't want to get caught in traffic on the way home.

Note

I went to do some fieldwork on my new map on the way home.

I was going to take a single track up onto the main hill line; but then I couldn't find the singletrack. decided it doesn't exist.
Good thing I was doing fieldwork.

Run intervals (Woodville Park) 20:00 [4]
shoes: Mizuno flats

ran to Woodville Park and did some intervals. 300m hard, 100m jog, etc.
Ran back home.

Run race (yankee jim's) 11:00 [4]
shoes: Mizuno flats

no longer need the map, so couldn't technically call this orienteering.
sprinted around the permanent course.
felt like a machine, must be because of the rain and cold.
felt great.stopped to get a stone out of my shoe in the last 200m, couldn't pick up the pace again after that.
