Saturday Dec 30

Orienteering (Kooyoora) 50:00 [4]*****
shoes: VJ twisters
Jim set exercises at Kooyoora.
Flew round the first one, spiked them all until one of the later ones where I hit a gully too low, recognised it and ran up to relocate. ran into the checkpoint. lost a bit of time.
bad hardman route choice on the 2nd last. didn't pay off.

2nd exercise at 1:5000
lost it a bit on this one. Ran out too fast and didn't get a hold of the scale. Amber beat me to number 1 + 2, dropped her at checkpoint 3. flew around the rest.
ran out wide from one of the tapes but luckily found the map again.
first back pretty happy.

Thursday Dec 28

Tuesday Dec 26

Orienteering race (royal park) 30:00 [4]** 8.0 mi (3:45 / mi)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 8
no idea about the distance and time on this one.
will post the map tomorrow.
made a bad route choice, attempted to run down what was marked as a track which turned out to be fence-to-fence- blackberries.
was a bad route choice anyway because I would have had to jump a 7 foot fence at the end.

took what I thought was the obvious circuit came in third. simon won (international bandit hunting street-o glory). His was much different. Chris Norwood second on another route all together.

didn't see Birdman.
