Left Handed Pennant at Mac
Won 3-2 vs LC 160
Long match against a Willoughby Junior.
1st Game - was feeling too flash after just finishing 10 slices of pizza. Had multiple game balls but lost it 18-16
2nd Game - lost my head a little and didn't have much of a plan. Shots weren't quite on and started going for too much.
3rd Game - sat by myself between games trying to get focused and think about what i needed to do. Went back on court more relaxed. Some epic rallies to 14-14 were i got 2 lucky "clutch" shots to take it.
4th and 5th Game - i found a bit better length and he was tiring slightly. I was guessing his shots easily and held a lead throughout.
Felt like i had a huge bruise in my left quad. Think i might have pulled it or overused it.

Ride to Orienteering
First time on the bike path past Lane Cove and was nice to ride on. Back streets through Cammeray-Cremorne. Short stop at Mosman for food and lookout. Down a very busy Spit Road then up the hill to Balgowlah RSL. Nice views towards the end.

SSS #3 "Forty Baskets" - Balgowlah
290. Had to cut this run short. Really bad stitch within 1st km that didn't go away and stomach problems caused from eating a Clif Bar right before I left. N00b mistake. Was feeling like i was on track for 580-600 if i was 100%. Started off 11-5-13-15-7-19-29-27-9-25 (10 sec error) - 23 (20 sec error going along shoreline instead of path) - 21 (2 min error, not feeling great and couldn't find it) and 3. Bit frustrating. It seems to be a regular thing now, whether i eat or not, my stomach feels like a tumbledryer. Upon reflection all my races SSS #1 and #2 i had this problem for at least 10-15mins during the race before it went away. Even on easy runs or long slow runs it occurs and as soon as i stop running i'm mostly fine again. City2Surf, Coffs Running Festival, Pub to Pub 30km etc all happened, some worse than others. Might have to experiment more, maybe stomach tablets or something? Need to sort it out before UTA50. Cycling, squash and swimming i rarely have issues...
9 PM

Squash 21:33 0.98 km (22:06 / km)
ahr:121 max:156 shoes: Asics Gel Rocket (Squash)

Right Handed Pennant at Mac
Won 3-0 vs MK 295
This was a match i really didn't expect to win. Despite feeling squash confident and gaining form, lots of factors weren't going my way - stomach troubles from O, difficulty breathing with cold, just bought new innersoles for squash shoes that day that i hadn't worn in, wrist/forearm sore from cycling, didn't have lunch or dinner and possibly overtraining in past few days. 2 Imodium tablets helped settle stomach. I think being well hydrated helped because i was mentally focussed and "in the zone".
All 3 games followed a similar pattern. I seemed to be on top throughout them but the scores stayed close. In each one Marty got frustrated with the ref's calls trying to deter my focus but it actually helped me think about what i needed to do. I played the big points well off instinct when it counted and snuck home on each one. I feel like this match was a big turning point for me to gain form back as my last big win came against Dom this time last year.
(Missed recording the 1st game here)

Spring Cycle 2016
3rd Century
Lots of stopping and starting at the beginning for traffic lights so had to take it easy. Spotted a few crashes here too. Stopped at Halliday Park at 25km with a nice view over Hen & Chicken Bay. Continued on through Rhodes-Meadowbank then the bike path out to Parramatta. Lots of sharp corners on the ways so took it steady. Topped up water at Mays Hill as was getting quite hot. Good section out to Western Sydney Parklands, overtaking lots of people on the way. Short stop here to get water again then headed back to SOP via Greystanes-Holroyd-Clyde. Pretty strong on the way back with dad and we were cruising past people on the short hills. Finish at SOP and walked around expo looking at bikes and tech. Got a flat straight after leaving at Bicentennial Park and was getting really hot by this stage. Return back to Mac Uni via Ryde-Melville Street-Shrimptons Creek. Despite no cycling lately legs felt fine and ready to go again the next day. Longest ride to date.
