Running, mostly off road 1:29:55 [2] 18.27 km (4:55 / km) +510m 4:19 / km

Hilly loop then 8km with Ginie then another bit of hill after, all fairly easy except a few stride type efforts near the end. Legs feeling pretty good, got a massage after too.

Running, mostly off road warm up/down 54:47 [2] 10.62 km (5:10 / km) +400m 4:20 / km

Warm up and cool down before/after reps. Did the hill session today to make the most of the good weather, forecast said rain for tomorrow and so far I've done every session in rain.

Hill running intervals 42:00 [5] 6.5 km (6:28 / km) +890m 3:50 / km

6 x 5' (2' uphill) on the climb from the town. Good session all the way, reached the cable car in exactly 40' including the recoveries which is a bit faster than in the uphill tempo last week. Hot day.

Pre breakfast run, climb up to the cable car then some flatter running. Feeling pretty good and enjoying the hot weather.

Running, mostly off road 20:41 [2] 4.35 km (4:45 / km) +80m 4:21 / km

Easy run around the lake then to the shops. All fine.

Thursday Jul 6, 2017 #

Running, mostly off road 1:33:01 [2] 18.12 km (5:08 / km) +700m 4:18 / km

Hilly loop then a bit of flatter running before some more small climbs in the last 5km. Plenty of nice single trail with technical parts too. Legs good on the flat and downhill but felt a bit tired when starting the uphills, to be expected after yesterday. Hot day.

Hill running 2:06:30 [3] 24.56 km (5:09 / km) +1350m 4:02 / km

Long run, first 40' undulating in the forest then just over 40' uphill then the last 45' flatter at the top. Felt good all the way and was able to run the flatter bits at the end quite well. Hot dry morning so was glad of some water halfway, energy levels were good though.

Relaxed effort run starting in the forest then a long climb up the other side of the valley to the usual one then a bit of flatter more technical trail at the top. The climb was steep so slower going than normal but good practice. Legs feeling fine, added in a few stride type efforts on the flatter part just to test the legs and it was fine.

Easy run up the cable car climb. Legs not bad after a few minutes, calf felt good too.

Running, mostly off road 35:43 [2] 7.65 km (4:40 / km) +70m 4:28 / km

Easy run with Ginie to the town directly after coming off the cable car. Nice to finish off with something flatter to stretch the legs.
