Running, mostly off road warm up/down 19:07 [2] 4.02 km (4:45 / km) +230m 3:42 / km

Easy warm up on trails at the end of the valley.

Hill running tempo 41:28 [5] 8.43 km (4:55 / km) +480m 3:50 / km

6km tempo on hilly trails in the valley then a steep uphill tempo to a mountain hut. Everything feeling okay and felt like a good session. GPS completely messed up the altitude but never mind.

Up to the peak above Morillon 1100. In the mist and rain so didn't see anything. Legs feeling okay.

Hill running 41:23 [2] 7.01 km (5:54 / km) +410m 4:34 / km

Post massage run along the river in Morillon then up to the apartment, 400m climb. Feeling good.

Around the lakes on the single trails, legs feeling pretty good so the pace increased a bit in the second half.

Thursday Aug 31 #

Cool down after the run and a bit of easy running to the lake before starting the session.

Progressive run, four laps around the lake on trails. It went pretty well, every 1km split got faster and the last lap was around 3'10" without being too hard. Didn't feel especially good but it's solid enough at the moment.

Cross trainer (Treadmill ) 45:51 [3] 8.5 km (5:24 / km) +1000m 3:24 / km

First ever treadmill run! Wanted some uphill running and thought I'd try it out. 12% gradient at mostly 11.2km/h whatever that is. Took a while to find the right speed and to settle in to it but by the end I was tired and felt like I ran with good form and without anything hurting.

Easy run around the lakes with Ginie. Sticking to the single trails which were nice on the legs.

Another run around the lakes on different trails. Very wet but still warm.

Hill running 2:01:19 [3] 21.65 km (5:36 / km) +790m 4:44 / km

Long hilly run from Messigny, near Dijon. Almost all the way it was twisty single trails with some technical sections and lots of small climbs and descents. Great route and easy on the legs. Found the heat quite tough though, it was 28 degrees. Legs feeling okay, noticing the calf slightly but it got a bit better as I ran.
