Turbo session warm up/ cool down etc pre breakfast.

10 x 3' (1' easy). Good session, got the heart rate higher than before. Felt tired the rest of the day so must have been worthwhile.

Running, mostly off road 35:25 [2] 8.16 km (4:20 / km) +80m 4:08 / km

Easy run to test the legs. Wasn't going to run at all today but the tightness and knot in my calf felt almost entirely fine. Didn't notice any discomfort at all during. Ran easy but with some accelerations every few minutes to stretch the legs.

Easy run to test the calf and decide about the XC. No decision to make, no change from last night. Feels like a golf ball in my calf that appeared from nowhere since the treatment!

Bike ride over Cairn O' Mount from Banchory then another climb up the south side. Icy in places so on the mountain bike and really slow on downhills. Pushed the climbs pretty hard, according to the HR monitor.

Crathes loop, feeling really easy and good today. Calf fine for 5km then noticing tightness, different to the usual and Achilles fine. Everything much improved since the physio yesterday but not sure if it'll fix the problem.

Running, mostly off road 37:41 [2] 8.25 km (4:34 / km) +90m 4:20 / km

Easy run in the forest. Not great, calf tightening after 5km. HR higher on this run than in the morning despite slower pace. Shows the single trails in the forest take more energy.

Easy run before physio. Noticing the Achilles feeling tender this morning, nothing from the calf strangely.

Road Running warm up/down 23:25 [2] 5.17 km (4:32 / km) +60m 4:17 / km

Easy warm up and cool down. Calf feeling okay except a little bit of tightness on the cool down.

Running, mostly off road tempo 41:55 [4] 12.51 km (3:21 / km) +110m 3:13 / km

Out and back along the river at Blackhall. Bit easier than tempo on the way out then picking it up on the way back. Feeling quite sluggish but no pain in the calf or Achilles. 4s slower than last time which is quite consistent for the same session.

Crathes loop plus a bit extra in the park. Not much change in the calf, still feeling it but the stiffness moving between the inside and outside. Feeling tired from yesterday.

Run from Finzean in the forest plus 1km effort on the road. Noticing a bit of Achilles tenderness early on but the calf seemed fine. After the faster effort it felt better if anything.

5 x 5' pretty hard, 2' steady between.
