Running, mostly off road 1:30:59 [2] 20.17 km (4:31 / km) +270m 4:14 / km

Pre breakfast run around the rice fields then up to the hill loop and home. Not as tired as I expected to be but a little bit stiff towards the end.

Road Running 48:23 [2] 10.75 km (4:30 / km) +130m 4:15 / km

Warm up down to the road at Esperanza and cool down back home with a big road climb.

Road Running intervals 51:22 [5] 15.07 km (3:25 / km) +270m 3:08 / km

5 x 2.5km (3’ easy) solo session on an undulating road. First four were fairly controlled then I tried to push the last one a bit more. Enjoyed it and felt good although a few of the short sharp climbs were tough.

Easy run on the trails, foot stiff at first but otherwise mostly fine. Still quite warm out.

Friday Jan 25, 2019 #

Steady loop from home, mostly on road. Strides at the end. Feeling good and moving pretty well. Adductor stiffness not noticeable either.

Easy trail loop, all good except my foot was a bit stiffer than usual.

Thursday Jan 24, 2019 #

Running, mostly off road 1:42:40 [2] 22.79 km (4:30 / km) +330m 4:12 / km

Easy run with Dan on the trails. Another really windy day so some exposed sections were tougher going. Legs were better than any point recently so hopefully with more time to recover they’ll feel good soon.

Wednesday Jan 23, 2019 #

Running, mostly off road warm up/down 48:12 [2] 10.27 km (4:42 / km) +50m 4:35 / km

Easy warm up and cool down on the paths from Cieza. Really windy today so slow going in places and lots of dust blowing around.

Road Running intervals 43:10 [5] 12.92 km (3:20 / km) +60m 3:16 / km

1mile, 2 mile, 3 mile (1mile steady) with Dan. First two were directly in to the wind and slower than planned but the effort was good. Turned around and hoped to run a lot faster for the 3 mile but by then I felt hot and thirsty from the dry wind and warmer weather. It was a struggle all the way back and felt like I was jogging with no power in the legs. Just needed a drink at halfway then it would have been fine. Legs weren’t tired afterwards so will hopefully recover quicker.

Easy run around the hill loop and in to town. Much better than usual after a session so definitely didn’t push as hard as normal.

Running, mostly off road 1:14:28 [2] 14.0 km (5:19 / km) +490m 4:32 / km

Easy hilly run over the local peak. Feeling good on the climbs but some stiffness on the flat bits.

Running, mostly off road 42:29 [2] 9.2 km (4:37 / km) +130m 4:19 / km

Easy loop on the trails plus strides. Took one or two strides to get moving properly but then everything was fairly smooth.

Monday Jan 21, 2019 #

Running, mostly off road 2:15:45 [3] 36.31 km (3:44 / km) +300m 3:35 / km

Long run on the same gravel trail as last week. Much cooler conditions but windier than last week. Ran slightly slower on the way out then picked it up a bit on the way back but never pushed it. Finished feeling good and like I could have gone a lot further.
