Easy run over Goauch and Scolty. Soggy and slippery in the forest but sheltered from the wind. Felt tired in the morning and a little bit stiff from the gym still so it could have been better.

On the Deeside line, easy to Drumoak for 10k then picking it up a bit on the 10k back. Was going in to the wind so a bit slower but happy with how the last few splits were. Effort felt comfortable too.

Easy run to Scolty and a few relaxed climbs. All good.

Easy running across Aberdeen after physio and gym. Not too bad but quite hungry when I started.

Tuesday Aug 13 #

Running, mostly off road 1:08:25 [2] 15.2 km (4:30 / km) +130m 4:19 / km

Easy run on the Deeside line and around Crathes. Surprisingly no muscle stiffness today and feeling fairly good. Fletta trail smashed my legs up a lot more but maybe got the legs conditioned to downhill. GPS cut out some distance.

Monday Aug 12 #

Easy jog up the valley and back from Zinal before the journey. Stiff legs but could be worse. Went to bed at 9.30pm after the race which made this possible.
