Running, mostly off road 2:16:32 [3] 30.08 km (4:32 / km) +620m 4:07 / km

Longish run starting from Balmoral and doing a loop to Glenmuick and back. Nice smooth paths most of the way but with a few easy climbs. The section following the first part of the Lochnagar path was very icy and slow in places but the rest was fine. Great conditions for running. Did feel a bit stiff in places, otherwise not bad though.

Running, mostly off road warm up/down 21:12 [2] 4.65 km (4:34 / km) +50m 4:20 / km

Easy running down to the Deeside line and back up afterwards.

Running, mostly off road 1:05:40 [4] 19.0 km (3:27 / km) +80m 3:23 / km

Steady out and back on the Deeside line to Drumoak with a bit of a pick up in the second half. Had a tailwind on the way out and it was going down the valley so made it much easier to go faster so the way back wasn't much quicker. Didn't really get up to a very hard effort but it was a good step towards doing some sessions again and everything felt good.

Crathes loop with a few bits added on. Definitely a lot better than yesterday but still feeling slow and stiff at the start. Mixed a few strides in through the run so by the end things were smoother.

Shooting greens loop coming back along the river. A bit sluggish and heavy legged after the weights yesterday. One or two tight muscles as well. Felt a lot slower than it was.

Crathes loop followed by 8 x ~150m strides. Having to stick to the better quality trails after all the rain. Good to get the legs moving again, felt a lot better after the strides.

Road Running 41:30 [2] 9.0 km (4:37 / km) +120m 4:19 / km

Easy run from ASV to Hazlehead then the warm up with the group. S&C session directly before left me a bit tired but improved through the run.

Tuesday Nov 26, 2019 #

A few easy climbs of Scolty. Horrible mix of mud and rocks after all the rain. Felt a bit more tired in the morning but legs weren't too bad. Had a bit more muscle stiffness after Sunday's S&C compared to usual.

Crathes loop with the head torch. Grim with puddles everywhere and soft mud. Hard to see with all the rain as well. Legs weren't bad though

Easy Crathes loop. Another step in the right direction to recovery. Plenty of mud and puddles around on the paths.

Road Running 32:30 [2] 7.14 km (4:33 / km) +40m 4:26 / km

5km loop on the road then a bit more with the training group. All good.
