Hill running 2:53:20 [3] 34.17 km (5:04 / km) +1160m 4:20 / km

Long one round two laps of Scolty and Goauch plus an extra climb. Nice mix of terrain and different climbs. Went by quickly and legs cooperated reasonably well, bit of tiredness towards the end. Didn't take anything to drink so it made it slightly harder.

Deeside line towards Drumoak out and back. Easing in to a steadyish effort then with 12 x 20-30s speed variations every few minutes from 7km onwards. Feeling pretty smooth and comfortable plus the faster bursts felt good. Quite breezy on the exposed parts.

Warm up on the trails and Deeside line. Long cool down through Corsee and Loch of Leys.

Road Running intervals 19:16 [5] 5.23 km (3:41 / km) +320m 2:49 / km

8 x Corsee hill, 2km flat tempo, 4 x Mount Street then a short flatter hill to finish off. Downhill jogs after the hill reps and 90s easy after the 2km. Took a few reps to settle in to the right amount of pain. The flat rep in the middle was a nice break and felt fairly comfortable. The Mount Street rep just after that was horrible but then they got slightly better each one.

Essential travel. Tired legs so took it easy.

Easy Crathes loop with a few extensions. Another nice day and less busy. Feeling quite good.

Foot stiff to start then everything easing off well.

Easyish run over Scolty and Goauch a few times. Very dry dusty trails and sunny. Getting more used to running up and downhill again after the marathon training.

Along the river to warm up, back the same way.

Running, mostly off road tempo 1:01:52 [4] 18.0 km (3:26 / km) +260m 3:12 / km

Shooting greens loop with an extra little hill going up to the car park at the far end before going back along the river path. Didn't feel as hard as usual tempo runs with the downhill sections giving more recovery. Noticed the wind in my face in parts on the way out but the way back was way slower than normal with the easterly wind. Overall enjoyed it but didn't feel like it was quite hard enough.

Golf course and riverside route at a nice easy effort. Legs improved on yesterday morning, expected it to be a struggle but was fine.
