Running, mostly off road 1:10:33 [2] 17.01 km (4:09 / km) +190m 3:56 / km

Aboyne to Dinnet then over to Glen Tanar for the way back. Nice day and legs moving well. A few tight spots early on, maybe over tapering or under tapering or somewhere in between. Mixed in a few relaxed strides towards the end and that helped.

Easy Crathes trails. Legs waking up after a km or so. Foot was a bit stiff but eased off too. Nice morning for it.

Friday Mar 19, 2021 #

Running, mostly off road warm up/down 36:47 [2] 8.37 km (4:24 / km) +60m 4:15 / km

Warm up along the river path by Blackhall. Cool down back through the park and trails home.

Running, mostly off road tempo 18:53 [5] 6.0 km (3:09 / km) +40m 3:03 / km

Short tempo between 6km and 12km through the run. First km from the river path to the Blackhall road then back through town on the main road. Felt good and after the first hill I could get the legs turning over well. Notice such a difference running in regular Adios compared to Bostons.

Easy out and back along the river by Blackhall, a few strides on the way back. Nice warm sunshine. Legs moving quite well. Some stiffness from extra sitting down yesterday.

Easy Crathes and Deeside line. Bit tired but not too bad.

Road Running 27:09 [2] 6.41 km (4:14 / km) +60m 4:03 / km

Short easy road loop through Upper Lochton. Was in a rush to get back for 5pm so slightly quicker towards the end. Legs feeling good though.

Tuesday Mar 16, 2021 #

Road Running warm up/down 34:03 [2] 7.55 km (4:31 / km) +110m 4:12 / km

Warm up on the roads. Feeling pretty rubbish and tired but no hip tightness today.

Road Running intervals 25:00 [5] 8.02 km (3:07 / km) +60m 3:00 / km

Half hearted session, started with 5' reps on the loop but it was too windy to get any rhythm or stay focussed. Didn't feel like fighting it so after 3 reps I dropped down to the main road for a 10' effort to finish. That was a lot better, never fully in to the wind and legs beginning to work. Felt fresh at the end.

Easy Scolty run with extra on the lower trails. All good.

Monday Mar 15, 2021 #

Running, mostly off road 1:10:09 [2] 14.59 km (4:48 / km) +350m 4:18 / km

Scolty loop with the dog. Access track closed to had to take the narrow trod through the woods to join the main paths further up. Hip getting better through the run, think the hills help it.
