DH Skiing 4:30:00 [3]

The heavy rain yesterday somehow turned into snow over last night and we received 40cm of powder so we decided to go skiing today. I took Big Fish to my favourite tree run at Hakuba Cortina (the closest ski hill) and we lapped 7 times we enjoyed every run. On our 4th run, met couple of friends (Chio, Shinji, Keita) and they took us to local's powder stash. Towards the end, the snow was getting heavy and hard to ski so we called it early and went to a ski patrol office to return the lift pass. At the patrol, there were three Australians, one popped his shoulder for his first time in great pain, one must be his girl friend who was about to cry and a friend (they were both very anxious). My patrol friend need some help with translation so I told James to see the guy and I stayed with them till James helped the guy's shoulder. They wanted to go to a hospital/clinic via ambulance but I had to explain that ski patrols can call only a taxi for them that there are limited number of ambulances in this valley and they are there for the people who are in the matter of life or death. By the time a taxi arrived, somehow managed to pop the guy's shoulder back in, a lot less pain for him, and everyone looked relieved. It was nice to see little bit of happy faces at the end.
