Back felt fine. No issues. Found the session tough, mentally and physically. Shortly after starting I realised it was going to be impractical to maintain the pace against the wind (pretty much half of the route). That settled me a bit as I concentrated on the effort, rather than the pace - I knew I was working hard enough. From 11-12 miles I was finding that the pace against the wind was slowing and the constant noise from the wind was hard to listen to so I cut inland onto a hillier more sheltered route. Quads weren't suffering as much today, though legs in general were glad to see the finish!
