Dalmally Horseshoe with Em and Oz. Not sure if this qualifies as a run more of a hike. Started off with a steep boggy slog. Weirdly hot. Emma was feeling abit low on sugar so we took it easy with plenty stops for water. Actually reached the first summit (stobh geardh) feeling not too bad. The sun had come out so nice views of Cruachan and the reservoir then Loch Etive in the background. Scrambled round the ridge with a bit of running. Only one sketchy section when the cloud came in and the path got cliff like. But apart from that a nice ridge line. Then onto the down. It looked so lovely and gentle when we were running up but when we actually got to it it was practically vertical. A slippy boggy craggy slope. A mixture of bumsliding and zig zag shuffling got us to the bottom. Quick dip in the river then back to the car. All in all a fun day out. Wouldn’t say it’s the most ideal ridge to run but a good adventure and another Munro in the bag. Also nice to not feel too wrecked afterwards.
