Middle distance in Hammarskog, ran at competition speed.

Another T-CUP training style, where, this time, the challenge was to deal with some criss-crossing purple lines. Last spring, in a regional event, I ran almost the whole course backward after I switched for another leg crossing the one I was supposed to run. Annoying.

Couple of suboptimal legs, but a good effort anyway this morning.

November Cup nr3.

Everyone started within 3 minutes. Not the nicest terrain around, with load of branches on the ground. Tried to solve the problems as fast as possible to spend as little time as possible in forest.

Typical compass training in Lunsen.

Pretty annoyed the whole way with a song running in my head – probably a late punishment for not recognized it during the music-quiz of Linné gala last Saturday…

Corridor pro tips: Always keep the inside edge of the curve as an aiming line, it maximizes your chances of surviving if you are off the line…

A good training always ends by a micro-sprint…

My favorite run in Uppsala, along Mälaren, as a starter, followed by a short contours course, altogether it made a perfect Sunday.

My favorite stretching bench…

Still snow free and lovely!

Longing now for another hit of Novak ”Gultenfree” Djokovic* vs Roger Federer, tonight in World tour final!

*Stopped my one month try of glutenfree diet couple of weeks ago, huge improvements to notice on my two handed back stroke, but not much more than this (well, except crying each time I was entering a bakery…) No regret.

Hemlängtan, another traditional event of OK Linné.

The rough idea is to take the regional public bus, and to be dropped some miles away from clubhouse, and go back home by an orienteering course visiting couple of different maps.

Not especially my favourite, but enjoyed a cold and sunny morning with good company. Legs felt lighter at the end than at the beginning, probably due to the slow speed and carrying sport drink the whole way.

Some of the maps were more or less updated, with couple of new cuttings (not nice) or golf tracks (super nice).

The biggest challenge of the morning was maybe the passage of the river on two tree trunks at nr9. Everyone succeed though.

Forgot to restart my gps watch at 22nd, being too excited by the kanelbulle refreshment point. Kids are easy to please after 20km...

Fredagsmys in Nåsten.

Nice and cold. For the first time of the winter, my shoelaces got frozen during the training. Probably not the last time though.

Tired tonight, but forced myself to keep delivering like the mailman.* Still could optimize some of the routes.

Get quite often the same question – if training technique when tired is not counterproductive. Well, I think the opposite. Do you expect to be fresh when you start the last stage of O´ringen or the last 3km of a WOC long distance? A smooth sea never made a skilled sailor.

Much branches on the ground for the B loop.

*No WOC race planned on Sunday next year ?!
