| Googong Half Marathon
Slotted in behind Trev for 300m, rush of blood, ran across gap to Paul Smith, another rush of blood after 1km, took lead, oopppps, very windy out there, big mistake, oh well...wonder if training runs at 5mins per km = fast race at sub 4 mins per km...wonder if Jase is right (5 hills) or map (7 hills) each direction. Hills bigger than I thought/imagined. Almost no flat spots. Comedy with Vince on the lead bike. Dropped his chain repeatedly, fell off...became a contest of me vs Vince. Thought I had him with 5km to go but he cruised on past on a down hill and toyed with me in the last 2km...Cheat...Felt Ok during the race. Very sore at the end. |
