Running warm up/down 7:16 [2] 1.09 km (6:40 / km) +9m 6:24 / km

Stirling day trip with EUOC

wu to first forest course start with Klara

Orienteering 39:44 [3] 3.42 km (11:37 / km) +112m 9:59 / km
ahr:156 max:178

extra slow first half was spent walking over some filthy ferns in the open areas. then a big climb and finally got out in some runnable forest where the extra paths confused me quite a bit. sort of a meh session really, mainly just happy to be out and running in a forest. rained the whole day which was actually quite nice- perfect conditions for running

Running warm up/down 4:07 [2] 0.59 km (6:59 / km) +8m 6:32 / km

jog to the start of the second forest course

Orienteering 41:33 [3] 3.65 km (11:23 / km) +110m 9:54 / km
ahr:142 max:172

just had no idea what I was doing in this course. on my way to 2 saw a woman with about 6 different dogs who all charged at me as soon as they saw me so had to stop. then completely lost direction and set off towards where I thought 2 was but it was actually the location of 12... couple of weird decisions later I ended up near 4 with no clue where I was so just decided to go back to 2 and then straight to 12 and finish the course from there. Map was quite rubbish, extra paths and green areas everywhere but still loved to be out running :)

Running warm up/down 10:01 [2] 1.69 km (5:56 / km) +28m 5:28 / km

wu in Stirling before old-town sprint with Klara

Orienteering 26:59 [3] 4.19 km (6:26 / km) +74m 5:55 / km
ahr:167 max:185

probably one of the most enjoyable sprint sessions I've ever done. Took it quite easy not to fall over on the wet cobbles and mud with my almost-no-grip shoes. Having never been to Stirling before took this as a quick sightseeing tour inc. drunk 15y-olds, Asian tourists and war graves. V nice town though! 2 wrong routechoices, one closed gate (where it was open in the map) and a random lady stopping me on the street to ask for directions is where my time was lost. Nice to be doing all the navigating myself/ not relying on others/ not seeing where to go without looking at the map :)

Running warm up/down 14:10 [2] 2.45 km (5:47 / km) +17m 5:35 / km

jog out to King's with Jenny

Orienteering 20:19 [4] 3.72 km (5:28 / km) +18m 5:20 / km
ahr:170 max:184

EUOC technical training in King's Buildings

Still feeling a bit ill so took it easy. Good session, some nice routechoices, made me realise I don't really know my way around there even though I have to be in King's almost everyday :D Somehow thought that all controls will have kites so spent a good 5s at some controls looking for a kite that doesn't exist..

Running warm up/down 16:44 [2] 2.71 km (6:10 / km) +21m 5:57 / km

jog home with Klara

Wednesday Sep 21 #

(sick) (rest day)

did cycle to King's twice today

Tuesday Sep 20 #

Running intervals 32:34 [4] 6.77 km (4:49 / km) +30m 4:42 / km
ahr:156 max:187

wu- Haries intervals with 20min group- wd

Supposed to do 12x 400m (90s) but only did 8, that's when my hamstrings said no thanks :( similar feeling to the injury I had back in January so decided to play it safe, especially before JEC. Throat is still itchy - not a good sign...

Monday Sep 19 #

Running 55:03 [3] 11.03 km (4:59 / km) +142m 4:41 / km
ahr:162 max:186

new semester new me, back to logging again :)

Haries Club Run with the medium fast group. Probably a bit faster than I wanted/needed but at least got to see some new running routes. Slight niggle in my throat but feeling good otherwise.
