Orienteering 38:58 [3]
shoes: Inov-8 Mudclaw 300

Holyrood Park Orienteering Race

Switched from blue to orange--tried to jog bits of it but IT band is really painful (it didn't like my running yesterday), walked the course. Realized navigationally that orange wasn't the same navigationally as blues and such. But was good to get out on the fell regardless.

Club went to a cafe afterwards, as most people were freezing!

Exercises/Stretches 10:00 [3]

The stick
clamshells with band
leg raises with band
leg raised bum lifts

Note
(injured)

IT band really angry. Plan is to keep up the exercises and attempt to cross train as much as possible while it calms down.

Note

Hahahah just found the results for the weekend, and feel terrible for having taken a place from the younger kids with having walked/jogged the orange.

Orienteering 1:16:39 [3] 11.5 km (6:40 / km)

Edinburgh Women's Open City Race

SO MUCH FUN! Loved the course. Made a stupid mistake on control number 5 (thought I could get out of a courtyard, couldn't) so had to backtrack quite a bit, but otherwise felt really good navigationally. Ran into a Trump rally during the race, and felt tempted to join in.

The CĂ©ilidh was SOOOOO much fun! Did several dances with Pete and met a fellow glacier-nerd and volcanologist orienteerers, LOVED IT.
