Just a few sequences to hit the Yoga goal for the month. Next month I will hit all goals. I have 2.5 months to get fit for an Ironman.. Gulp. And thats just an intermdiate goal. ITERA will be around the corner from that.till have to recruit the 4th teamie but I'm holding out for the best team fit so I don't have to listen to it from Kate for 5 days and nights!

Nada. Went to the cinema to see Batman vs Superman. Bit torn on it but leaning towards "enjoyed it". Think I need to see it again to absorb the ending.

Had a goal of exploring a local mountain in the dark. Some trails on the map could be old farm trails. Only one way to find out. Also had a goal of 500m ascent. Bright moon above the trees was cool. Lights on the mast on Woodcock Hill guided the first climb. Reached it and dived off on a sandy boggy wet rocky old trail. Descended about 100m mostly hike a bike and a dead end. Scouted a route but I'd have needed a machete and no way to haul the bike through thick gorse. Turn around and pushed or carried the bike back up. Short cut across the boggy peak to the mast again. Overall about 40 mins pushing the bike. Explored another dead end shortly after. Learned a bit about the map. Also mostly lead to farmland. The rest was a thrilling short steep descent hitting 65kmh, another threading route through Cratloe forest trail to climb Woodcock again from the North side and the main work was done. It did hail at one point and my feet froze. Dawn broke into lively sunshine and slowly dried me out. Had to stop by my Dad's en route home to collect something and scored some freshly baked brownies. I was flagging for a finish but solid session and did what I set out to do.

Short session before family arrived for Easter Dinner. 214w avg. Steady again but put in 10 mins at 240w or about 80% of when I'm fit. Would have liked another 20 min and another rep but time was precious.

Was early to meet Kate so got the kayak ready and did a short recce along the bank of an old footbridge I saw on the map. Was going to use it to get across the river on bikes but only a short window for a paddle today

Paddling 2:19:47 intensity: (5:00 @0) + (1:50:30 @1) + (24:17 @2) 11.78 km (5.1 kph) +42m
ahr:108 max:145 shoes: Mizuno Wave Hayate

Started off below World's End to make the first 1.5km an adventure. We paddled, dragged and portaged the kayak up over weirs and rocks. After a meandering paddle trying to find a calm way through the 2nd and 3rd rapid we just got out and waded over them pulling the kayak along. Tiring but done inside 20 mins. Paddled the next 5k or so up to Parteen Weir with a nice tailwind at times. Found a dead calm stretch around an Island which was lovely. Kate was full of beans.

The return to World's End was a slog into a headwind and developing chop. I was feeling it trying to correct the direction every few minutes. The last but back over the rapids was great fun though. Kate had a ball and was chuffed to successfully negotiate them all. We had to run at them the sit back and enjoy. We got stuck on rock on one and it required a bit of rocking to dislodge. On another I had to brake hard to my left to avoid the bank. Really fun end to a solid spin. Kate was a definite high SEVEN!
