15 chin ups (12,3) and 30 press ups
Then a short session of indoor paddling before heading to my Bro's to babysit. Tomorrow I will run come hell or high water!
425/850 YTD happy to hit 12 chin ups in a row considering 4 was my best effort at the start of January. Still a way to go..

10 chin ups and 20 push ups in the morning
Lunchtime yoga class. Good stretchy session with some strength exercises like handstands etc..

Hope to get out for a run tomorrow. Went over on my ankle a week ago hence no running.

10 chin ups and 20 push ups (380/760 YTD), then onto the erg for another late session.


Usually the first 2k is a little quicker than the middle 4k so I went off at the overall average best pace. It meant the pace boat pulled half a length ahead but I got that back over the middle 4k. My HR climbed faster though and I had to back off more in the last 2k. I was off the screen with 400 to go, out of it. I attacked anyway. Really attacked. Holding 1:40/500m pace at 20spm was all out. My HR lept from 153 to 183 in 20 strokes. It reminded me of my first national championship win in a 4+ at Uni. We were 3ft behind with 10 strokes to go and won it by inches.

I was catching the pace boat fast but with 10 strokes to go it was still too far. MAX effort. Beat it by 1 second, on the last stroke. It was only a short base session with a kick finish but boy was it enjoyable!

I'll have to do some longer sessions to build the base. I'm not even thinking about Intervals or threshold stuff until I'm fit enough to attempt it.

Thought I'd lose this one. HR was climbing faster or so it seemed. Full 2L behind before the last push, I thought it would be more. Cap off, attacked and caught my pace boat with 5 strokes to go. A new best by 3 secs suprisingly. Hangover all day yesterday extended today. Work party and free cocktails and I'm a complete lightweight.

It was a bit of a struggle so did it again later before the row and it was better.
360/720 YTD and it's starting to hit the core too
