O in the rain at Bruce ridge! yay because for once it wasn't hot :) minorly stuffed up #3 coming in too high but other than that I thought I was keeping up a really good pace and didn't make mistakes after that apart from swerving slightly on some of my compass lines. Katie still caught me though so she was obvs going even faster until having an unfortunate crash :( overall a good run though. forgot to start my watch so distance is a guess but I think the courses was 5.3 or something

Ankle was randomly sore and feeling slightly swollen during the day, as well as my hip feeling a bit unstable/ clicking heaps throughout the day so I was thinking of calling it quit after the warm up. But by the end neither were feeling too bad so I just went with it and I'm glad I did because I got quite into it even if I started feeling a bit bleh. Was very hot but I put in a good effort in the hards so didn't matter. Session was pyramids: 1/2/3/4/3/2/1 with half rests but took the first couple to get into.

Sprint training at AIS with the crew. Was a lot cooler than earlier but still boiling so we were all feeling a bit drained I think. Went mostly well but may have taken a couple of slightly longer routes where it was close.

Orienteering 16:43 [3] 2.73 km (6:07 / km)

Second training at CIT where I was even slower. Didn't do any of the 4 bush controls either because I wasn't feeling it and they were really just for extra distance. Got caught in all the crappy bushy bit around 8/9 and took a couple of long routes where I shouldn't have, just made mistakes, but other than that it was alright!

Short long run and much easier after Thursday's big hit out. However being the last day of holidays, I gave myself a sleep in at the expense of having to run when it was absolutely boiling...so was extra slow because of that. Just did a bunch of wiggling around the non-embargoed bits of red hill wherever there was any form of shade then went across the road from Kitchener to get a tiny bit of extra distance in that tiny bit of reserve. felt pretty tired but got it done
