Up mt taylor oofftt its a big climb

Training with mum and zoe, which I set this morning trying to simulate some tricking hillside/ up down rocky cliffy controls which we might find at easter. It was very steep, rocky, and scrubby for most, but there is soooo much awesome rock detail on mt taylor (including some huge cliffs with good southward views) which we haven't used in years but would definitely be worth it for red courses at least! So slow as it was pretty impossible to move fast but I really enjoyed it and was pretty pleased with most of my navigation, considering we didn't have flags I was pretty confident I was at each control location even in the super detailed bits!

Morning interrvals, did 3x (2min (1min), 4min (2min)) which was good but felt hard. Being on the red hill trails made it hard to keep a really good pace up but I pushed hard and I guess that's all I needed.

Was gonna ride in the arvo but it was raining, also did a pilates class at some work experience I was doing

Ella, Zoe, Robin and I rocked up to bilbys to find no one there...so we just did intervals together.
I did 200, 400, 600, 800, 1k, 1k, 800, 600, 400, 200 with 100 rec after the 200s, 300 after the 1ks and 200 after the others. Started off feeling pretty stiff and heavy in the legs (which I guess was to be expected after 8hrs of walking round at work) but really got into it and ended up not feeling too bad! We were so spread out though so I really had no idea how I would be going compared to anyone else - still don't have heaps of speed but was happy to get some hard running in and really push myself. Also did 3:42 for both 1ks and 2:59 for both 800s so pretty happy with that consistency!
