Alriiight! I had a feeling this was going to be an awesome course. The bad part was that I woke up feeling sick and was feeling really tired before even starting. I usually rely on my physical strength when orienteering, but this wasn't going to work today. My super powers would go and come back during the course, and I did run some parts of it like a beast, but also had some weak moments. I also wanted to make this course more fun for me by being more aggressive and not allowing myself safe route choices.

Start -> 1. My run to the first control was excellent. It started by me falling into the stream and getting a cool pre-adventure shower. Wake up, Lina! I think I liked that. Got up fast, and ran straight to the control. This was great compass work, because besides the stream I weren't able to read any other features. Perfect get Lina lost control, but my time was good.
1->2 Tried to stay more to the right to get into the reentrant and go to 2 from there.
2->3 easy.
3->4 came out to the trail more right than I wanted. Somewhere at the loop. Not focused here. Wasted few minutes.
5-7 easy straight.
7->8 too confusing, took some time.
8->9 wandering between marshes, not bad.
9->10 Took a reentrant out of 9 and then used my deer skills when jumping over all that green stuff. Had a good timing here. Good deer is a good deer.
10->11 This one was a disaster. I find it hard to keep focus for more than few controls in a row, so this easy leg didn't go well for me.
After passing 19th control on the way I took the wrong trail and ran to the wrong field.
12-13 easy straight.
13->14 another super disaster. I think my head was already not working or something. Seems like an easy control.
14->15 safe route choice through the field. Didn't want another disaster.
15->16 took trail.
16->17 easy straight.
17->18 someone running my course was running in front of me. Almost forgot to check the number of control, but then remembered yesterday's mistake.
18->19 Stood there for a minute, couldn't decide which way I wanted to go. I wanted to lay down and not go anywhere. Made a bad route choice here and ran-walked around.
19->20 already dying.

I met my goal here. I successfully ignored all the wrong people that I met in my course. And got a lot of compass practice.
I made a lot of mistakes this weekend but I still did better than I thought I would. It was fun. :)

Remembered to turn on my watch at 2nd control. Long course. Got to the start only 5 min before my start time. It seemed there was no way I could make it on time, but I guess magic happened.
Wasn't super excited about this course. A lot of trail running. 1-5 not bad, better than I expected from myself. 6->7 spend a whole minute deciding whether I should take lower or upper trail. Decision making! I was tired so I took lower. Of course I regretted that later, climb to 7 from lower trail was a killer. 8->9 was interesting, almost turned around before finding it. 10,11 easy. Mispunched 12. I hate people.. Overran 13, I was lower than I thought I was. Very bad route choice to 14, hard to think when tired. 15-17 easy.

Rode to Broderick park through downtown Buffalo and up along the water. Nice ride.

Was getting dark on the way back, which made the view nicer. Randomly decided to check if my back light was still on, and learned that I already lost it somewhere. Ran into Slow Roll, they were coming back from somewhere. There were so many bicyclists I couldn't cross the road, so joined them for a little bit, had a small conversation with one of the people, turned around and went home. Maybe I should ride with them sometime.
