Gorgeous night. Mix of rooted/rocky trails and newly machined trails for an extensive MTB network they are adding in one of my fav running spots. Kinda felt like being on a racetrack with the wrong vehicle.

Family hike with @StrongMachine (carrying W) and dog up Pleasant Mountain and along the ridge for a bit til we got waylaid in a big blueberry patch. A good test of the baby’s backpack endurance and nice to log some vertical before Untamed.

The obscene heat continues. 85F and humid as the sun was going down. Not why we live in Maine! ~15lb pack and heat made the pace slow but felt good considering the circumstances. Tried out my new Inov8 Roclites - love!

And tonight we drink to @Sparks and @Jerkface who cleared the infamous MSAR garcelon O!

Not exactly the workout I planned... intended hill pyramid hike/run repeats but chose trails that didn’t quite have the elevation I was expecting. After 30 minutes of run-hiking around looking for something steep to work with I gave into what ended up being a lovely mixed hills run. Minus the 100F heat index and the leaky water bladder that soaked my butt/legs/shoes. Though I did discover that sweating uphill and running downhill is a pretty effective A/C. Race pack on.

Weird ride... started on trails with my bro in law and managed about a mile before I realized my brakes (front and back) were f’ed. Tried to fix on the trail but failed. Drove home and decided to kill myself on a TrainerRoad ride.
