Frigid family hike with W in the pulk.
Back on AP after a couple weeks off. Had a wonderful trip to Jamaica with Cliff, Wilder, and Starker. Until I tried to get home and tested positive for COVID… Spent a couple days there while the rest of our group made it back to the US. I have no clue how they didn’t get it but they all tested negative on home and PCR tests over the next week. Quarantining in Jamaica could have been worse ;) Symptoms were super mild (thanks science!) and I tested negative a few days later and made it home. The whole family has been quarantining all week to make sure we are clear. Day 9 today. Looking forward to taking my mask off Monday.
Long story short: my COVID experience was very mild by comparison to others, but also very inconvenient. I don’t recommend it.
Looking forward to starting up my coaching/training season on Monday. I’m no longer hoping for a “normal” year since that doesn’t seem to exist anymore, but definitely looking forward to refocusing on the sport I love!
