Thursday Feb 28

Running 54:49 [2]5.62 km (9:45 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw O 330
Legs feeling really tired. Run through Holyrood. Had to walk up Radical Road.

Wednesday Feb 27

Running 47:02 [3]5.23 km (9:00 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Mojave
Run to Holyrood and Old Town. Gentle pace. Legs feeling a bit battered still.

Sunday Feb 24

Running 1:07:00 [5]9.5 km (7:03 / km)
shoes: Mudroc 290
SOSOL 5 at John Muir Country Park. Legs still a bit tired after the hard run on Friday night so I was probably not as fast over the ground as I might have been. No serious mistakes and generally pretty accurate. Time was one of my best on a Brown for a long time although the winning times were also very quick as well.

Friday Feb 22

Running 1:07:52 [4]8.48 mi (7:59 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Mojave
Run round the Mortonhall loop. Good form and second best ever time.

Wednesday Feb 20

Running 51:44 [3]5.75 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Mudroc 290
Nice we run round Holyrood. Up and down Hunters Bog with a few other small ascents thown in. Kept going on the uphills nicely. Got out whilst still daylight but got dark by time I was finishing.

Monday Feb 18

Running 30:00 [3]3.16 mi (9:29 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Mojave
Interval run shadowing Max. He did very well over a tough 30 minute session.

Sunday Feb 17

Running 57:00 [3]6.16 mi (9:15 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Slow jog on the streets.

Saturday Feb 16

Running 45:00 [3]5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Lovely run round Rome - Aventine Hill in particular. Good run given the amount of walking during the day.

Sunday Feb 10

Running 35:00 [3]4.0 mi (8:44 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Short run from hotel in Rome. Lots of walking for the rest of the week but didn't do a lot of running.

Monday Feb 4

Running 45:00 [3]5.0 mi (9:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics Gel Mojave
Saw the clear blue skys and with no more meetings in the diary I rushed home early. By the time I'd reached the summit of Arthurs Seat there was hail and gail force winds.

Ran OK. Still a bit tired from Sunday's race. Stopped to a walk on part of the ascent. Calf muscles a bit sore.

Sunday Feb 3

Orienteering race 26:00 [4]3.3 km (7:53 / km) +175m 6:14 / km
shoes: Mudroc 290
Prologue Sprint O at Craiglockhart. Didn't think I was going great guns but time was very good relative to normal competitors. No significant mistakes.
Orienteering 23:00 [4]2.7 km (8:31 / km) +100m 7:11 / km
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw O 330
Final of the Sprint O at Craiglockhart. Missed the start by about 90 secs after the late start - but annoying that. Again seemed to do pretty well. Results not yet posted.

Results now in and did really well. Around 134% of the overall winner and 117% of the VET winner. Not sure what went right today. Felt I was fairly lazy on the hills.

Saturday Feb 2

Running 22:42 [1]2.39 mi (9:29 / mi)
shoes: Mudroc 290
Quick jog round part of Old Town map with Max. Legs still feeling tired from previous weekend. Oh dear !
