Arrived home feeling rotten. Eventually got out of the house and did a run round the streets. Decided to head north for a change and got as far as Stockbridge via a circuitous route. Felt a bit better for it.

Carnethy Hill race. Started off quite slow towards the back of the pack but slowly made ground on a few runners on the ascent of the first small hill. Passed 2 more on the thick heather downhill. Hard grind up to the summit of Carnethy on which I passed 2 more. Nice downhill section quickly passed one more runner then was pretty much on my own for the run home. Didn't feel especially good but took off 55 seconds from last years time which was very pleasing.

Feeling slightly groggy and lethargic before heading out but livened up once I started to push the pace. Ran around Blackford Hill and the Hermitage.
