Sunday Jan 27

Orienteering race 1:25:00 [5]**** 7 km (12:09 / km) +450m 9:11 / km
spiked:29/29c shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw O 330
Sosol in Holyrood Park. Another really tough race with long hard climbs. Bad start on Control 1 - it was difficult but didn't take enough time to work my way methodically to it. Navigation generally OK. Probably could have pushed the running a little harder although feet beginning to blister on the heels from about control 19 onwards.

Saturday Jan 26

Orienteering race 54:30 [4]*** 6.1 km (8:56 / km)
spiked:30/30c shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Edinburgh Street Race. Fabulous course all around the old town. Annoyed to be disqualified with a far from obvious road crossing being oob. Oh well - wasn't terribly fast anyway.
Running 25:00 [1]2.5 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Run to and from Holyrood Park for the Street O.

Thursday Jan 24

Running 30:00 [5]4.0 mi (7:30 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Another short hard interval run. Calf muscles really feeling it.

Wednesday Jan 23

Running 35:00 [5]4.5 mi (7:46 / mi)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Serana Williams run round the Meadows. Good form. Intense.

Monday Jan 21

Running 35:43 [5]4.61 mi (7:45 / mi)
ahr:157 max:171 shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
Tried out an iTunes workout - an interval run with Serena Williams. It definitely worked and helped push the pace and effort levels along very considerably. I've never sworn at a lady so much in my life before! She just wouldn't stop pushing.
