Dumfries Marathon. What a disaster. Legs, particularly hamstrings were really stiff at the start following wednesdays workout. Felt pretty poor to start and early pace was quick modest. Hit the wall much earlier than I should with mile 11 onwards becoming a real struggle. Even doing the half felt a challenge. Pretty much walking all the way from mile 18 with just a short recovery on the last mile.

Very disappointed. Only silver lining is that I kept going and walked at a decent pace. Can learn from this for the Fling.

Feeling very very stiff after the workout on Weds. Longish slow run to try to loosen up and hopefully get ready for the marathon on sunday. Ran fairly well and seemed ok'ish once I got going.
