Running (UdeC Hill Loop2) 35:27 [3]5.65 km (6:16 / km) +130m 5:38 / km
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
shorter than yesterday and started from where the other one ended. I have had to cope loads of crap regarding my tights. It was such a breakthrough in my life to put them on in the first place im standing my ground come hell or high water. (mostly hell from Chileans rampant homophobia).

Running (UdeC Hill Loop1) 53:22 [3]7 km (7:37 / km) +150m 6:53 / km
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
A steep hill loop around the back of my Uni Campus with two good friends, Miguel(who introduced me to Phoebe) and Cristian. We went slow cause we had heaps to chat about and turner around at about the 30m mark. Quite steep but great views and good memories of the mtb tracks i so often did.
Pedometer Route

Concepcion is a city made for sports, there were at least 5 mtbikers on the track and it was 730pm. A couple of runners on campus on the way back. Then about 8 to 10 runners crossing the bridge. It turns out there was a fun run last sunday around the river and another one the week before.

I looked at the bush for orienteering potential but i didnt see much (im guessing others will see more?.) It is very steep and where there is native forest its quite dense with low lying scrub and muddy ground. Where there is pine planation they are quite close together and trimmed to about 1.2meters so you have to run leaning and cant see much. Im going out today again to another area, stay tuned.

Running (PELFRC) 48:10 [3]8.6 km (5:36 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
Jet Lag loop is now officialy called"Parque El LLano Fun Run Course", because its the typical loop and its all doable in less than 50. THis time i went all the way to the end of the park, which adds the extra k.

Saint Liggo give me strength to cope with all these dogs!

Sunday Nov 11

Note
big night last night meant not much motivation to run today. Went to Lastarria, in the center of Santiago and found this sort of artsy backpacker friendly area with cafes and restaurants. The plan was to test the local coffee so i ordered a caramel Latte from a nice shop.

It was disgusting!, most likely instant coffee, the milk was off, it was terribly sweet and on top sprinkled with white and black chocolate chips!. I have now a much better excuse not to run today.

Saturday Nov 10

Running (Jet lag loop) 41:00 [3]7.1 km (5:46 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
A more cruisy run around the same spots, just to fill in some time. The reason for this city to be so crowded is that the whole region has such a nice weather, with dry warm nights like the ones in Orange for the Christmas 5 days.

Friday Nov 9

Running (Jet lag loop) 41:00 [3]7.55 km (5:26 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
feel a bit better now and i ran in the arvo this time. I pushed because 3 stray dogs chased me down the street at various points. Highlight of the run was these three blokes drinking beer on a bench in the park, who handed me a glass of beer on a plastic cup.

so wasted after flight stayed awake till 10pm local time to re sync. It worked like a charm i was up 6am this morning and with 9ºC and40% humidity it was brilliant running conditions (or maybe im just made for this weather).

Very slow and very heavy legs, but glad to see 2 other joggers on the road.

Sunday Nov 4

Orienteering race (NavSport Series) 44:53 [3]*
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
North Avoca NavSport Series for Central Coast Orienteering. Bloody north Avoca is all about climb and i didnt have anything, so i went for a loop around a peninsula north of the map that had some juicy 130 or so points. 360 in total.

Saturday Nov 3

Running long (Terrigal Trotters) 1:01:08 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
this run is called Avoca steps and its not one of the longest and i reckon is because its quite hilly and about 400m of sand running, which is tough. Having pain in the mouth of my stomach on the way back but as soon as i drank some water it went away. A bit tired and sore now, specially calves.

Thursday Nov 1

Running (Skillion Loop ++) 56:38 [3]9.02 km (6:17 / km) +200m 5:39 / km
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 7
After a reccomendation from Nick i did a slightly longer version of monday's loop. Instead of going straight to the beach i went up to the Scenic Highway which added like a k or so. 30:31 to the top of the skillion and 26:07 back. Felt stronger than monday (and less hot) and its such a shame my future training for the next few months is in question mark.
