Monday Aug 27

Running (LFRC) 33:10 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
Short run, all parties agreed for their own reasons. I was propper buggered and i am taking it easy during the week. A slight discomfort on the inside of right ankle, like a pin of too much impact and overall tired lower back muscles.

When work load eases i plan to increase training volume with cycling.

Sunday Aug 26

Running (hard/tech run) 1:03:00 [4]9.25 km (6:49 / km) +150m 6:18 / km
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
Went to investigate a new loop that goes down to the Manly Wharinga War Memorial Park. Start down usual loop and make a left to go across Wakehurst Pkway. There are some walking tracks that go down a watercourse and then back up to allambie heights. its very nice, quite rocky and steep. Probably changes a lot with rain as i saw a 1.5x1m boulder in the track that just came off the cliff!. I guess sandstone is not that heavy.

Legs heavy and tired at the beggining cause of yesterdays run, but then going downhill got going at about the 20min mark. Took a lot of fluids with me which brought me back to life (even from lack of fluids after yesterdays run) and didnt walk any of the uphill sections. Great views of the city.

Dissappointing is the end of the run which finishes near alambie road, so its a slow, busy road uphill back home. MIght do it the other way next time and see.
Pedometer Route

Saturday Aug 25

Running long (ish) 51:19 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
With Fel, usual parkway loop but this time all the way to Seaforth Oval and then back. I always turn around where a car engine sits, which is conveniently just before the rugged section of the track. It was good to do, i think i will push all the way to seaforth more often.

Thursday Aug 23

Running (Wakehurst Pkway loop) 39:02 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
went out in a "better than nothing" mood, very tired from work, and i started at a much faster pace than planned, just to psyche myself up and get going. I felt much stronger than expected, so i pushed along and made it to my typical halfway point almost 2 minutes faster than usual.

A few weeks ago i set a target of 4 x 40min runs during the period work is hectic. So a mid week run puts me in a good position for this week.

Monday Aug 20

Running tempo (LFRC) 44:10 [4]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
Had my tempo run while Glenn and Ezy had their recovery runs....from running div3 at the metro yesterday....

I felt stronger and faster than last time, even to the point to have a surging finish, which took all my energy out so it was so hard to come back home that i ended up slower than last week. Oh well, Ezy made nachos and we watched top gear and Southpark, also as it becomes tradition, i ate too much.

Sunday Aug 19

Orienteering race (Metro League) 50:14 [5]4.2 km (11:58 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
In University of Western Sydney Campbelltown campus. I got lost on the way so i made it really late. I didnt bring a compass so i stuffed big on the first control. Other mistakes were not compass related but a mix of trying to loose some division 4 ppl following me and vegetation misinterpretations. Felt quite strong in the legs, although the heart was a bit tired. Nice weather, regardless of rain.

Saturday Aug 18

Running (Wakehurst Pkway loop) 40:00 [3]
little out of the way around single tracks. felt crap.

Monday Aug 13

Running tempo (LFRC) 42:07 [4]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
ran aroudn lindfield with Ezy, it was very hard for me, ended sweating like a spiderpig. Good effort

Sunday Aug 12

Event: City2Surf

Running tempo (Warringah Rd Loop) 40:36 [4]7 km (5:48 / km) +100m 5:25 / km
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
watched the simpsons movie with Ezy and ran with him on his way home. pedometer route.
Smart training dictates i headed back before the big downhill into the roseville chase. Since Ezy set a tough pace for me i tried to keep it up on the way back. not bad.

Saturday Aug 4

Running long (Terrigal Trotters) 1:09:12 [4]10.33 km (6:42 / km) +60m 6:30 / km
Pedometer Route This run is called Crommity hill, which i avoided. It took me ages to settle into a rhythm cause body refused to wake up. When it did, i had to go for a pit stop. Out of it i piked on the big hill and just did the small one just before going into the flat section along the beach. Then i felt like i should be pushing harder!!, cant win!. Need a method to pace myself better.

Thursday Aug 2

Running (for more ap minutes) 42:16 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
dont know what got into me, but i went for a jog along a pipeline that leads to warringa rd. Very slow and the back pulled juuust a bit. Felt better at the end for some reason.

Wednesday Aug 1

Running tempo (Wakehurst Pkway loop) 40:00 [4]6.8 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
i pushed today, and it wasnt for long, but i felt quite ok. The treshold was side pain, which i felt mostly uphill.
