Running (hard/tech run) 1:03:00 [4]9.25 km (6:49 / km) +150m 6:18 / km
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline GTS 6
Went to investigate a new loop that goes down to the Manly Wharinga War Memorial Park. Start down usual loop and make a left to go across Wakehurst Pkway. There are some walking tracks that go down a watercourse and then back up to allambie heights. its very nice, quite rocky and steep. Probably changes a lot with rain as i saw a 1.5x1m boulder in the track that just came off the cliff!. I guess sandstone is not that heavy.

Legs heavy and tired at the beggining cause of yesterdays run, but then going downhill got going at about the 20min mark. Took a lot of fluids with me which brought me back to life (even from lack of fluids after yesterdays run) and didnt walk any of the uphill sections. Great views of the city.

Dissappointing is the end of the run which finishes near alambie road, so its a slow, busy road uphill back home. MIght do it the other way next time and see.
Pedometer Route

Saturday Aug 25

Running long (ish) 51:19 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
With Fel, usual parkway loop but this time all the way to Seaforth Oval and then back. I always turn around where a car engine sits, which is conveniently just before the rugged section of the track. It was good to do, i think i will push all the way to seaforth more often.

Running (Wakehurst Pkway loop) 39:02 [3]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
went out in a "better than nothing" mood, very tired from work, and i started at a much faster pace than planned, just to psyche myself up and get going. I felt much stronger than expected, so i pushed along and made it to my typical halfway point almost 2 minutes faster than usual.

A few weeks ago i set a target of 4 x 40min runs during the period work is hectic. So a mid week run puts me in a good position for this week.

Monday Aug 20

Running tempo (LFRC) 44:10 [4]
shoes: Brooks Adrenaline
Had my tempo run while Glenn and Ezy had their recovery runs....from running div3 at the metro yesterday....

I felt stronger and faster than last time, even to the point to have a surging finish, which took all my energy out so it was so hard to come back home that i ended up slower than last week. Oh well, Ezy made nachos and we watched top gear and Southpark, also as it becomes tradition, i ate too much.
