Hiking (hiking) 6:45:00 [3] 21.5 mi (18:50 / mi) +1950m 14:42 / mi

8 hrs Hiking (+/- 2500m to 3000m)

Woke up early at the bunkhouse which was at the base of Snowdon to squeeze in an easy run up/down the tourist path before leading the group up the same path...

Nothing inspiring but only way I could do it....

I was up/down in 1hr 45 ish then the hike was around 5 hours.

*I forgot to mention last week that my poles had broken before the start of the L55....the metal prong that sticks out and holds them in place is stuck inside the pole. I have emailed LEKI about a replacement so hopefully it wil be sorted before L100.

No issues on the day apart from it being painfully slow.

In Snowdonia for the weekend coaching so did this first with a friend...

No issues with legs.

trail running (easy/regen) 1:10:00 [3] 6.0 mi (11:40 / mi) +450m 9:28 / mi
shoes: Salomon SLAB Sense

Easy run with the dog in hot weather...legs much better.

Back to it.
6 PM

trail running (work/easy) 54:00 [1] 4.0 mi (13:30 / mi) +25m 13:15 / mi
shoes: Salomon SLAB Sense

60' + Tech Exercises.

Stayed behind after work to do the tech exercises and I did feel them start to aggravate my heel a little...

I did the same exercises but regressed them without the plyometrics...not the same thing I know but not risking it at this stage.

Easy run with the dog...longer than the 60' given but there was some stopping for water in the streams due to the warm weather returning

Leg felt OK but tired quick at around 45 minute mark. No issue though just needs another day or two.

no tech exercises

Hiking 4:15:00 [2] 15.0 mi (17:00 / mi) +944m 14:13 / mi
shoes: Salomon Speed

Walked with friends doing the 50 from Mardale Head to Ambleside.

We mainly hiked because of my dodgy leg and another had twisted her ankle a week before but we ran some easy sections.

We got a lift to the start and I had left my car in Ambleside over night...

Both legs felt tired but left hamstring was really tight/restricted.

Good day out and glad I could still salvage the weekend a little.
