Went to support dome clients running the Chester 50 Ultra while I had a few hours away from the hospital.

Very tired and injury did feel a bit achy at first....seemed to warm in to it.

3km warm up then felt comfortable enough at 4' km pace....

Winter hadn't been well that morning so started late, then a bit of the 'pinching' crept in at around 15km so I just stopped.

I was still moving fine and could have ran on so much better...

Head was looking for an excuse more than anything probably because a few hours later we were back at the hospital.

i'm not sure if its all the driving at the weekend or the fact I tripped over last night with the group or both but almost straight away my glutes went tight / sore..

I would laugh if it wasn't so important.

Left side worse but hard to describe......

It started to make the running laboured and hard work even though my legs felt good.

I threw in the towel at 20km and the few KM easy back to the car felt like I had just ran a marathon..

Its aching now and has been just walking around but feels like a deep glute muscle ache.

Not an injury but something needs to loosen / sort itself out.

Quick dog run.

Meant to be long run day but I have lost my glasses and can't really work on the computer without them.

Spent the morning trying to get an appointment quickly for an eye test / new pair.

Il do it tomorrow now as way behind already..

Easy group run + drills.

I tripped over a tree route in the woods and bashed my hip but was hardly running so nothing serious.
